Who are we?
We are a specialist service offering a range of information and advice, emotional and outreach support services, family mediation and innovative training and resources to support everyone to develop healthier relationships.
We tackle relationship issues
At the centre we receive over 10,000 calls each year from males, females, children and young people affected by unhealthy relationships and are asked to help families tackle the issues together, avoiding and managing the long term effects of relationship breakdown.
Ten years on the organisation boasts a small but committed team of staff and volunteers across two operating sites and our services make a difference directly to over 6,500 families a year and 14,000 Children and Young people by raising awareness in schools and through our website services.
We train and campaign
We deliver training to professionals, voluntary groups, schools, colleges and universities and actively campaign about the issues affecting our client group. Working in collaboration with national organisations we influence and inform policy and public opinion on issues such as:
- young runaways
- care leavers
- sexual exploitation
The Future
Building on everything that we have learnt from those with whom we have worked, we recently began the next stage in the charity's evolution. We are establishing a Life Skills Academy, a place where all those who need our specialist services will be able to access support. We will offer education, learning and work-based training opportunities for young people leaving care and targeted support for families in need.
Creating an environment that will enable those with the enthusiasm to gain the skills to take on the work of helping others and make life changing transitions within our community.
