Our charity feels like home!!

We are proud to announce that our centres have been labelled as being 'like home'  by our service users. This praise for The Relationships Centre came during a quality standard assessment from Matrix, a watchdog of national standards, which makes assessments every three years.

The two-day assessment on December 7th and 8th involved an external assessor talking to the charity's client's in a series of focus groups, observing the work carried out and speaking to staff.

This was a re-accreditation process, as The Relationships Centre was first awarded the quality mark in 2003, reacrredited in 2006.

Lucy Hindmarch, acting director of The Relationships Centre, which is based at The Gateway, on Sankey Street, said: "one group of clients said The Relationships Centre was not like going to a community centre or a GP surgery, it was like going home."

"I think it is absolutely fantastic to get external recognition for what we do. I am very proud of the team in terms of the level of standard and care, they provide to the client group and fellow professionals."

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for their dedication to supporting this very vulnerable client group. "Thanks also go to the clients and professionals who gave up their time to support the charity in acheiving this quality standard."
