What is running away?

  • Running away is when a young person chooses to leave home or care without permission, and the person looking after them is worried about them.

If you do run away you may:

  • be a victim of crime on the streets or get involved in committing crime
  • have increased health issues if you live rough, or
  • find it very hard to go home, because you might be in trouble.
