Whats Up - understanding teen emotions programme
Have you ever struggled to understand why teenagers are often confrontational, seen as challenging, and sometimes appear to be obstructive?
It may seem that youre talking a different language from a young person. Understanding the way a young persons brain is developing doesnt change what THEY do but helps YOU to respond positively towards them.
About the
emotional programme
We all need to develop our emotional literacy. Most of us do this throughout our lives as we gain the experience, a crucial phase being adolescence. In order to help this process for the young person, parent or professional working with them we have developed a range of resources that specifically enable this learning to take place in a safe and positive way.
As professionals working in this field we have developed a range of tools through our direct work with young people and their families. Available with an instruction manual we are also able to provide support and training in their use.
Targeting the strongest emotions we take you on a journey of understanding through the emotions specific to your need: love, anger, loneliness etc. The aim is to enable you and your young person to achieve significant and lasting change.
Are you struggling to cope with the changes in your child's behaviour? We can support you and the young person through this difficult time. Our team of specialist workers can provide educational resources, personal coaching and family mediation sessions.
If you would like more information about our range of tailored training programmes, or how to access our consultant services, then get in touch.
Channelling emotions positively
Comic Relief recently funded us to run a project that enabled young males who had witnessed and/or perpetrated anger and violence in the home to understand and channel emotions in a positive or non-destructive way, offering strategies that have a positive impact on self esteem and strategies to manage difficult situations.
The project was an outstanding success and we are delighted to share this learning with you.
